Resumen La suplementación surge como una estrategia simple para mejorar la productividad animal en sistemas que adoptan praderas diferidas de pasto como dieta básica. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el efecto de los niveles de suplementación de harina de vaina de mezquite sobre la ingesta, la digestibilidad de los nutrientes y la ganancia de peso corporal (PC) de caprinos en pastoreo diferido. Treinta y cinco (35) caprinos machos (24.0 ± 2.9 kg PC) se distribuyeron en un diseño completamente al azar, con cinco tratamientos y siete repeticiones. Los tratamientos consistieron en un control de suplemento (0.05 % de PC de sal proteico-mineral) y niveles crecientes a 0.5; 1.0; 1.5 y 2.0 % de PC de suplementación con harina de vaina de mezquite. La ingesta de materia seca y nutrientes del forraje y la dieta total aumentaron linealmente (P<0.0001) en función de los niveles del suplemento. Se observó un efecto cuadrático (P<0.0001) para las variables de digestibilidad, excepto para el extracto etéreo y los carbohidratos no fibrosos, que presentaron un efecto lineal creciente (P<0.0001). Los niveles de suplementación aumentaron linealmente las variables de rendimiento (P<0.05). Se recomienda la suplementación del concentrado al 2.0 % de PC con harina de vaina de mezquite al 30 % en su composición para promover la reducción del ciclo productivo de los caprinos en praderas diferidas de pasto Urochloa.

Abstract Supplementation emerges as a simple strategy to improve animal productivity in systems that adopt deferred grass pasture as the basic diet. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of levels of supplementation of mesquite pod meal on intake, digestibility of nutrients, and body weight (BW) gain of goats in grazing deferred. Thirty-five (35) goat males (24.0 ± 2.9 kg BW) were distributed in a completely randomized design, with five treatments and seven replications. Treatments constituted a supplement control (0.05% BW of protein-mineral salt) and increasing levels at 0.5; 1.0; 1.5, and 2.0% BW of supplementation with mesquite pod meal. Dry matter intake and nutrients of the forage and total diet increased linearly (P<0.0001) as a function of the levels of the supplement. A quadratic effect was observed (P<0.0001) for the digestibility variables, except for ethereal extract and non-fiber carbohydrates, which presented an increasing linear effect (P<0.0001). Supplementation levels increased linearly on the performance variables (P<0.05). It is recommended the concentrate supplementation at 2.0% BW with mesquite pod meal at 30 % in its composition for promoting the reduction of the productive cycle of goats in deferred Urochloa grass pastures.

Abstract A new species of Scobinancistrus from the Xingu River, Brazil, is described. It can be distinguished from its congeners by color pattern and a combination of non-exclusive characters: overall body covered by large yellow spaced blotches over a dark background (vs. small round and densely packed spots over light or dark background in S. pariolispos and S. aureatus); lack of orange to yellow/orange distal band on dorsal and caudal fins (vs. presence in S. aureatus), dorsal fin not reaching adipose-fin supporting plate when adpressed (vs. reaching the adipose-fin plate in S. pariolispos and S. aureatus). The new species is only known from a portion of the middle Xingu River, ranging from the Volta Grande do Xingu, an area under a strong anthropic impact due to the construction of the Belo Monte dam, to near the Iriri River confluence with the Xingu River. Aspects concerning the species’ threats and its conservation status are discussed.

Resumo Uma nova espécie de Scobinancistrus do rio Xingu, Brasil, é descrita. Ela pode ser distinguida de suas congêneres pelo padrão de cores e uma combinação de caracteres não exclusivos: corpo geral coberto por grandes manchas amarelas espaçadas sobre um fundo escuro (vs. pequenos pontos redondos e densamente compactados sobre fundo claro ou escuro em S. pariolispos e S. aureatus); falta de banda distal laranja a amarela nas nadadeiras dorsal e caudal (vs. presença em S. aureatus), nadadeira dorsal não alcançando a placa da nadadeira adiposa quando comprimida (vs. atingindo a placa da nadadeira adiposa em S. pariolispos e S. aureatus). A nova espécie só é conhecida de uma porção do médio rio Xingu, que vai da Volta Grande do Xingu, área de forte impacto antrópico devido à construção da barragem de Belo Monte, até próximo à confluência do rio Iriri com o rio Xingu. Aspectos relativos às ameaças à espécie e seu estado de conservação são discutidos.

This research aimed analyze the inservice teacher education of the “Mais Paic” program from the viewpoint of educational managers and lower secondary educational teachers. We used a descriptive and qualitative approach. Educational managers, Mathematics and Portuguese teachers were interviewed. We analyzed the interviews with content analysis. Our results show positive and negative characteristics of the inservice teacher education. Furthermore, improvement and harmful aspects were indicated by the participants. We discuss their viewpont and the implications for inservice teacher education.

Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar la formación continua de profesores del programa “Mais Paic” desde la óptica de los gestores educativos y profesores de educación secundaria. Utilizamos un enfoque descriptivo y cualitativo. Fueron entrevistados gestores educativos, profesores de matemáticas y portugués. Analizamos las entrevistas con análisis de contenido. Nuestros resultados muestran características positivas y negativas de la formación continua. Además, los participantes indicaron aspectos de mejora y perjudiciales. Discutimos su punto de vista y las implicaciones para la formación continua de profesores.

O objetivo da pesquisa foi analisar as formações continuadas do Programa Mais Paic na ótica de gestores municipais de educação e professores dos anos finais do Ensino Fundamental. Utilizamos uma abordagem qualitativa e descritiva. Participaram da pesquisa gestores educacionais e professores de português e matemática. Realizamos entrevistas com os participantes que foram submetidas a técnica de análise de conteúdo. Foi possível elencar aspectos positivos, aspectos negativos, aspectos de melhoria e aspectos prejudiciais a essas formações. Discutimos as percepções dos gestores e professores e suas implicações para as ações de formação continuada.

Resumo Uma nova espécie de Ancistrus é descrita das bacias dos rios Tapajós e Xingu. Distingue-se de suas congêneres pelo padrão de colorido único, que consiste em listras vermiculadas escuras em quase todo o corpo, e também pela combinação de características como cabeça estreita, maior distância entre as narinas e ausência de séries de grandes odontódeos nas placas laterais. Adicionalmente, a nova espécie pode ser diferenciada de suas congêneres da bacia do rio Tapajós pela presença de uma nadadeira adiposa totalmente desenvolvida (vs. nadadeira adiposa ausente em Ancistrus parecis e A. tombador, nadadeira adiposa vestigial ou ausente em A. krenakarore). Ela difere de A. ranunculus, a única outra espécie do rio Xingu, pelo padrão de colorido, menor tamanho corporal, menor abertura branquial e menor largura entre os cleitros. O novo táxon adiciona um novo registro à lista de espécies compartilhadas entre as bacias do Xingu e Tapajós.

Abstract A new Ancistrus species is described from Tapajós and Xingu river basins. It is distinguished from its congeners by the singular body color pattern, consisting of dark vermiculated stripes almost all over the body, and also by combination of features as a narrow head, large internostril distance, and absence of rows of enlarged odontodes on the lateral plates. In addition, the new species is distinguished from congeners that inhabit the rio Tapajós basin by the presence of a fully-developed adipose fin (vs. adipose fin absent in Ancistrus parecis and A. tombador, and vestigial adipose fin or absent in A. krenakarore). It differs from A. ranunculus, also from the rio Xingu, by the color pattern, smaller body size, smaller gill opening, and narrower cleithral width. The new taxon adds a new record to the list of species shared among the Xingu and Tapajós basins.

Resumo Uma expedição com financiamento coletivo por aquaristas a uma região do estado brasileiro do Pará, drenada pelas bacias dos rios Tapajós e Xingu, resultou na captura de cinco espécies de Corydoras da bacia do rio Jamanxim, um tributário do rio Tapajós, das quais três puderam ser confirmadas como novas e descritas aqui. As novas espécies podem ser prontamente diagnosticadas de suas congêneres por uma combinação de características relacionadas a padrão de colorido e osteologia. Considerando a informação reunida sobre padrões de coloração, morfologia e observações de campo, as espécies novas são consideradas como componentes de dois arcos de mimetismo Mülleriano distintos, com duas delas formando um par mimético, enquanto que a terceira forma par com uma quarta espécie, ainda não identificada, capturada na mesma expedição. Uma chave de identificação para as espécies de Corydoras da bacia do rio Tapajós também é fornecida.

Abstract An expedition crowdfunded by aquarists to a region of the Brazilian state of Pará drained by the Tapajós and Xingu river basins resulted in the capture of five species of Corydoras from the rio Jamanxim basin, a tributary to the rio Tapajós, of which three could be confirmed as new and described herein. The new species can be promptly diagnosed from their congeners by the combination of features related to color pattern and osteology. Considering the gathered information on color patterns and morphology plus field observations, the new species are considered to compose two distinct Müllerian mimicry rings, with two of them forming a mimetic pair, while the third one forms a pair with a fourth non-identified species captured in the same expedition. An identification key to the species of Corydoras from the rio Tapajós basin is also provided.

The semiarid region of Rio Grande do Norte State in the Northeast region of Brazil can be divided into two main geoenvironmental units: Sertaneja Depression and Potiguar Sedimentary Basin. Although the flora of sandy sedimentary basins is usually different from that of crystalline terrains, part of the Potiguar Basin has stony paleo-alluvial deposits, with rolled pebbles, imposing different edaphic conditions to the species. The Floresta Nacional de Açu is located on a stretch of the edge of the Potiguar Basin with pebble deposits, which make the soil stony. The objective of this work was to characterize the phytosociological structure of the caatinga in Floresta Nacional de Açu and its surroundings and to understand the biogeographic links of the local flora with other areas of the Caatinga. We selected areas in the interior and surroundings of FLONA and sampled 1,500 woody individuals, belonging to 33 species. The biogeographical links show that the stony edge of the Potiguar Basin is closer to the flora of the crystalline terrains than to the sandy terrains of other sandy sedimentary basins.

Embora a flora das bacias sedimentares arenosas normalmente seja diferente daquela dos terrenos cristalinos, parte da Bacia Potiguar possui depósitos paleo-aluvionares pedregosos, com seixos rolados, impondo à flora condições edáficas diferentes. A Floresta Nacional de Açu está localizada em um trecho da borda da Bacia Potiguar com depósitos de seixos, que tornam o solo pedregoso. O objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar a estrutura fitossociológica da caatinga na FLONA e arredores e compreender os vínculos biogeográficos da flora local em relação a outras áreas da Caatinga. Selecionamos áreas no interior e arredores da FLONA e amostramos 1500 indivíduos lenhosos, pertencentes a 33 espécies. Os vínculos biogeográficos mostram que a borda pedregosa da Bacia Potiguar tem mais proximidade com a flora dos terrenos cristalinos do que com terrenos arenosos de outras bacias sedimentares arenosas.

Resumo O Programa de Expansao e Melhoria da Educando no Meio Rural (Edurural) foi um projeto financiado pelo Banco Mundial com o objetivo de melhorar a aprendizagem dos estudantes da regido Nordeste do Brasil. Este artigo apresenta este programa como uma experiencia brasileira pioneira em avadando em larga escala. Dessa forma, formos orientados pela seguinte pergunta: quais as características do Edurural o tornam uma experiencia pioneira em avadando educacional em larga escala no Brasil? Dessa forma, problematizamos esse programa e expomos o contexto de planejamento e execundo com enfase no projeto de avaliando educacional que teve foco nos aspectos institucionais, tais como infraestrutura, qualificando docente e materiais didáticos, e de rendimento educacional em portugues e matemática dos estudantes envolvidos. Apresenta ainda, uma breve síntese dos resultados com base em publicares dos pesquisadores envolvidos na realizando dessa avaliando realizada na regido do nordeste brasileiro.

Abstract The Northeast Rural Primary Project was financed by the World Bank with the objective of improving the learning of students in the Northeast of Brazil. This article presents this program as a pioneering Brazilian experience in large-scale evaluation. This essay tries to answer the following question: What are the characteristics of Edurural that make it a pioneering experience in large-scale educational evaluation in Brazil? In this way, this program has been problematized its planning and execution context has been exposed, with emphasis on the educational evaluation project that focused on institutional aspects such as infrastructure, teacher qualification and didactic materials, and educational achievement in Portuguese and mathematics of the students involved. Yet, it also presents a brief summary of the results based on the researchers publications who were involved in this evaluation carried out in the northeast region of Brazil.

Resumen El Programa de Expansión y Mejora de la Educación del Medio Rural (Edurural) fue un proyecto financiado por el Banco Mundial con el objetivo de mejorar los aprendizajes de los estudiantes de la región Nordeste de Brasil. Este artículo presenta ese programa como una experiencia brasileña de evaluación de larga escala. De esta manera, nos orientamos por la siguiente pregunta: ¿cuáles fueron las características de Edurural que lo convirtieron en una experiencia pionera en evaluación educacional de larga escala en Brasil? En este sentido, problematizamos ese programa y exponemos el contexto de planeamiento y ejecución con énfasis en un proyecto de evaluación educacional que tiene foco en aspectos institucionales tales como la infraestructura, la calificación docente y los materiales didácticos, y en el rendimiento educacional en portugués y matemáticas en los estudiantes involucrados. Además, se presenta una breve síntesis de los resultados, basada en las publicaciones de los investigadores participantes de la evaluación realizada en la región del nordeste brasileño.

Abstract In the Xingu river basin, Brazil, occurs two genera of Potamotrygonidae family: Potamotrygon and Paratrygon. In this region, the taxa have significant economic importance for the ornamental fishing industry, being intensively captured, especially the species Potamotrygon leopoldi, which is endemic to this basin. In the attempt to propose a species-specific DNA marker for the species from Xingu, as well as ensuring a robust and reliable molecular identification, the present work analysed mitochondrial gene portions Cytochrome Oxidase C – subunit I (COI) and Cytochrome B (Cytb) of five species: P. leopoldi; Potamotrygon orbignyi; Potamotrygon motoro; Potamotrygon scobina and Paratrygon aiereba. We found haplotype sharing, with a total absence of reciprocal monophyly in the majority of taxa. Individuals morphologically identified as a species showed mitochondrial DNA from another, suggesting the first record of hybridization amongst freshwater stingrays of Xingu. Also, we detected a deep divergence among Paratrygon aiereba haplotypes, indicative of speciation, suggesting the possibility of a new species for the Xingu river. Therefore, although the is still confusing and controversial taxonomy of freshwater stingrays, and evidencing hybridization processes that may have shaped the evolutionary history of this Family, the genes COI and Cytb can successfully help in the their species identification.

Resumo O rio Xingu possui umas das mais diversas ictiofaunas da região Amazônica. Loricariidae destaca-se como a família mais diversa nessa bacia, compreendendo mais de 60 espécies distribuídas em 26 gêneros. As espécies de Loricariidae estão entre as mais valorizadas economicamente no mercado ornamental mundial. A perda de ambientes de pesca na região de Altamira devido aos impactos das barragens está provocando uma mudança da pesca ornamental para áreas a montante, entre as quais estão incluídas as áreas das Reservas Extrativistas do Rio Xingu e do Rio Iriri. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi o de inventariar espécies de peixes com potencial ornamental nestas reservas extrativistas para servir de linha de base para ajudar a orientar o gerenciamento futuro da pesca ornamental nestas áreas. Trinta e duas espécies de Loricariidae foram coletadas nestas reservas através de mergulho livre ou mergulho com ar comprimido. A composição das espécies variou de acordo com o método de amostragem e a área de conservação. A maioria das espécies encontradas nas reservas também são encontradas nas áreas impactadas de Belo Monte, perto de Altamira. As áreas de estudo mostraram grande diversidade de espécies de peixes em ambientes rápidos, sugerindo que esta área poderia servir como uma fonte adicional de renda para os residentes destas reservas.

Abstract The Xingu River has one of the most diverse fish faunas in the Amazon region. Loricariidae stands out as the most diverse family in the basin, comprising more than 60 species distributed over 26 genera. Species of Loricariidae are some of the most economically valued in the ornamental market worldwide. The loss of fishing environments in Altamira region due to dam impacts is driving a shift of ornamental fishing to areas upstream, among which are included the Xingu River and Iriri River Extractive Reserve Areas. Thus, the objective of this work was to inventory fish species with ornamental potential in these extractive reserves to serve as a baseline to help guide the future management of ornamental fishing in those areas. Thirty-two species of Loricariidae were collected in these reserves through either free diving or diving with compressed air. The composition of species varied according to the sampling method and area. The majority of species found in the reserves are also found in the impacted areas of Belo Monte near Altamira. The study areas showed high diversity of fish species in rapids environments, suggesting that this area could serve as an additional source of income for the residents of these reserves.

Resumen El Examen Nacional de la Secundaria Superior (ENEM), en Brasil, es una evaluación a gran escala que tiene el objetivo de medir el conocimiento de estudiantes al final de la Educación Básica. En 2009, la educación física pasó a componer el examen. De esta forma, la investigación tuvo por objetivo analizar los ítems de Educación Física del Examen de los años 2009 a 2014 a partir de la teoría clásica. Para ello, la investigación presenta un enfoque predominantemente cuantitativo y exploratorio. El estudio se realizó con una muestra aleatoria de participantes del estado de Ceará, Brasil, que fueron examinados. Se analizaron los siguientes parámetros: validez, fiabilidad, dificultad y discriminación. Los ítems presentaron buenos valores de correlación y adecuación de la muestra. Sin embargo, indica comunalidad y cargas factoriales inadecuadas para la composición de la prueba. El Análisis Factorial Exploratorio presentó baja explicación de la varianza al considerar solo un factor, a pesar de que lo scree plot indica la unidimensionalidad. Los valores de fiabilidad fueron buenos, no habiendo influencia de los ítems de Educación Física. La dificultad y la discriminación presentaron valores aceptables en casi todos los años. No obstante, en 2014, la prueba no presentó unidimensionalidad. Este año, los ítems presentaron alta dificultad y baja discriminación. Así, algunos ítems de Educación Física del examen no muestran parámetros adecuados. Las pruebas de Lenguajes y Códigos del examen presentaron dificultades de comprobación de la unidimensionalidad. Tales factores pueden comprometer la validez de la medida y consecuentemente de los resultados de ese examen, y pueden interferir en el ingreso de millones de brasileños en la Enseñanza Superior.

Resumo O Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM) no Brasil, é uma avaliação em larga escala que tem o objetivo de medir o conhecimento de estudantes ao final da Educação Básica. Em 2009 a Educação Física passou a compor o Exame. Dessa forma, a pesquisa objetivou analisar os itens de Educação Física do exame dos anos de 2009 a 2014 a partir da teoria clássica. Para isso, a pesquisa tem um enfoque predominantemente quantitativo e exploratório. O estudo foi realizado com uma amostra aleatória de participantes do estado do Ceará, Brasil, que realizaram o exame. Foram analisados os seguintes parâmetros: validade, fidedignidade, dificuldade e discriminação. Os itens apresentaram bons valores de correlação e adequação da amostra. No entanto, apresentaram escores de comunalidade e cargas fatoriais inadequados para composição da prova. A Análise Fatorial Exploratória apresentou baixa explicação da variância considerando apenas um fator, mesmo Scree plot indicando a unidimensionalidade. Os valores de fidedignidade foram bons, não havendo influência dos itens de Educação Física. A dificuldade e discriminação apresentaram valores aceitáveis em quase todos os anos. No entanto, em 2014 a prova não apresentou unidimensionalidade. Neste ano, os itens apresentaram alta dificuldade e baixa discriminação. Dessa forma, alguns itens de Educação Física do exame não apresentaram parâmetros adequados. As provas de Linguagens e Códigos do exame apresentaram dificuldades de comprovação da unidimensionalidade. Tais fatores podem comprometer a validade da medida e consequentemente dos resultados desse exame, podendo interferir no ingresso de milhões de brasileiros no Ensino Superior.

Abstract The National Exam of Upper Secondary Education (ENEM) in Brazil, is a large scale evaluation that aims to measure students' knowledge at the end of Basic Education. Physical Education began to form of the Exam in 2009. Thus, the research aimed to analyze the Physical Education items of the exam from the years 2009 to 2014 from the classical theory. The research has a predominantly quantitative and exploratory approach. The study was performed with a random sample of participants from state of Ceará, Brazil, who were examined. The following parameters were analyzed: validity, reliability, difficulty and discrimination. The items presented good values of correlation and adequacy of the sample. However, they presented commonality scores and factorial loads that were not adequate for the test composition. The Exploratory Factor Analysis presented low explanation of the variance considering only one factor, even Scree plot indicating the unidimensionality. The reliability values were good, with no influence of Physical Education items. The difficulty and discrimination presented values acceptable in almost every year. However, the test did not present unidimensionality in 2014. This year, the items presented high difficulty and low discrimination. Thus, some Physical Education items of the exam did not present adequate parameters. The tests of Languages and Codes presented difficulties in proving unidimensionality. Such factors may compromise the validity of the measure and consequently of the results of this exam, and may interfere with the enrollment of millions of Brazilians in Higher Education.

Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar os efeitos de distintas salinidades da água de irrigação sobre o crescimento de porta-enxertos de goiabeira cv. Paluma adubada com doses crescentes de potássio, em experimento conduzido sob condições de estufa do CCTA/UFCG município de Pombal - PB. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial 5 x 4, cujos tratamentos resultaram da combinação de cinco níveis de condutividade elétrica da água de irrigação (CEa = 0,3; 1,1; 1,9; 2,7 e 3,5 dS m-1) e quatro doses de potássio (70, 100, 130 e 160% de K) sendo a dose referente a 100% de K correspondente a 726 mg de K dm-3 de substrato, com quatro repetições e duas plantas por parcela, sem bordadura. O aumento da salinidade da água de irrigação reduz o crescimento de porta-enxerto de goiabeira cv. Paluma, sendo os efeitos mais deletérios em níveis superiores a 1,9 dS m-1; doses crescentes de K até 1.161,6 mg de K dm-3 de substrato não atenuaram os efeitos nocivos dos sais, bem como, não exerceram diferença sobre o crescimento da maioria das variáveis de porta-enxerto de goiabeira cv. Paluma aos 120 e 225 dias após a emergência.

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effects of different irrigation water salinities on the growth of guava rootstock cv. Paluma fertilized with increasing doses of potassium, in an experiment conducted under greenhouse conditions of the CCTA / UFCG municipality of Pombal - PB. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design in a 5 x 4 factorial scheme, whose treatments resulted from the combination of five levels of electrical conductivity of the irrigation water (ECw = 0.3, 1.1, 1.9, 2.7 and 3.5 dS m-1) and four doses of potassium (70, 100, 130 and 160% K), the dose corresponding to 100% K corresponding to 726 mg K dm-3 substrate, with four replicates and two plants per plot, no border. The increase of salinity of the irrigation water reduces the growth of guava rootstock cv. Paluma, the most deleterious effects being at levels above 1.9 dS m-1; increasing doses of K up to 1161.6 mg K dm-3 substrate did not attenuate the harmful effects of the salts, nor did they exert any difference on the growth of most of the variables of guava rootstock cv. Paluma at 120 and 225 days after the emergency.

Abstract Coffee is one of the most valuable agricultural commodities and the plants’ leaves are the primary site of infection for most coffee diseases, such as the devastating coffee leaf rust. Therefore, the use of bacterial microbiota that inhabits coffee leaves to fight infections could be an alternative agricultural method to protect against coffee diseases. Here, we report the leaf-associated bacteria in three coffee genotypes over the course of a year, with the aim to determine the diversity of bacterial microbiota. The results indicate a prevalence of Enterobacteriales in Coffea canephora, Pseudomonadales in C. arabica ‘Obatã’, and an intriguing lack of bacterial dominance in C. arabica ‘Catuaí’. Using PERMANOVA analyses, we assessed the association between bacterial abundance in the coffee genotypes and environmental parameters such as temperature, precipitation, and mineral nutrients in the leaves. We detected a close relationship between the amount of Mn and the abundance of Pseudomonadales in ‘Obatã’ and the amount of Ca and the abundance of Enterobacteriales in C. canephora. We suggest that mineral nutrients can be key drivers that shape leaf microbial communities.

The study aims to analyze the knowledge related to health required the evidence of Physical Education students from the National Assessment of Student Achievement (ENADE) 2014. All Physical Education students from Brazil who declared “present" in the specific component of the test. Students are categorized by gender (male and female), type of institution (public and private) and Brazil region (North, Northeast, Southeast, South and Midwest). Valid percentage of each alternative and the index of difficulty and discrimination of the items were analyzed. We used the SPSS statistical package (version 20.0). Most students answered the items correctly, with good understanding involving healthy habits in childhood and the contributions of physical education in teaching such content. However, many of them interpreted incorrectly, with misunderstandings about elementary questions on this topic. It is concluded that there are some knowledge limitations related to the Physical education students’ health, when the ENADE 2014 is used as a parameter.

O estudo objetivou validar uma escala de percepção discente sobre os objetivos de ensino da Educação Física escolar. O estudo foi realizado com 212 alunos de escolas públicas e particulares do Ensino Médio em 7 municípios do interior do Ceará. Utilizou-se como instrumento de coleta de dados um questionário adaptado com itens em escalas de nível de concordância. A análise dos dados foi realizada utilizando estatística descritiva, comparação de grupos, Análise Fatorial Exploratória (AFE), Alfa de Cronbach e Análise Fatorial Confirmatória (AFC). Foram obtidos os Fatores 1) Atividade Física e Saúde e 2) Formação Humana, em que os itens do questionário que compõe esses fatores apresentaram-se adequados tanto para alunos de escolas pública e particular quanto para discentes do sexo masculino e feminino. Na validação da escala obtiveram-se índices adequados de KMO, variância explicada, Alfa de Cronbach e nos índices da AFC. Consideramos que o instrumento se mostrou válido para analisar as expectativas discentes sobre a componente curricular Educação Física.

The study aimed to validate a student’s perception scale of the Physical Education teaching objectives. The study was conducted with 212 students from public and private schools of high school in seven cities in the interior of Ceará. It was used as data collection instrument was a questionnaire adapted with items in agreement level scale. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, comparison groups, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Cronbach's Alpha and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). They were obtained the factors 1) Physical Activity and Health and 2) Human Development, in which the items that compose these factors presented to be able to use both for students from public and private schools and to students of male and female. The scale validation was obtained adequate levels of KMO, explained variance, Cronbach's alpha and indexes of the AFC. We believe that the instrument proved to be valid to analyze the students' expectations about the curricular component Physical Education.
